Student Health
The aim of the Student Health Center is to care for the immediate health needs of students attending RGNS. The Health Center is located in the north end of the library and is open Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. The center is staffed with a full time nurse and a health care assistant who provide health services for both boarding and day students. We also have the expertise of our Athletic Trainer, for additional evalution, recommendations and treatment.
Services provided by the RGNS Health Center include:
- Health Assessment
- Emergency evaluation and treatment
- Maintenance of immunization records
- Medication Administration
- Supervise medically infirmed boarding students
- Health promotion and wellness information
- CPR instruction for faculty and staff
- Administration of annual flu vaccine
For the 2010-2011 school year all forms need to be returned to the Student Health Center by July 15, 2010. They may be sent back electronically to bephillips@rabungap.org, faxed to 706-746-7762, or mailed to the school to the attention of Student Health. Important Immunization Record Reminder:
All students are required to have a completed and up to date "Georgia Immunization Record" form #3231. The only place you may obtain this record is through a Georgia licensed physician or Georgia Health Department. Your students' application packet contains immunization requirements for the state of Georgia. It is not necessary that your child receive the immunizations in Georgia. You may get them from your local Health Department or physician then take the documentation to a physician or Health Department in Georgia to have the information transferred onto the Georgia form. The Rabun County Health Department closest to our school and is open Monday - Friday - 706.212.0289.
2010-11 Medical Forms are available through the online registration process. If you need additional copies, please contact the Admission Office or the Health Office.
