Student Resource Center
The Student Resource Center supports students by developing their personal and intellectual strengths. SRC professionals coach, guide, and advocate for students, empowering them toward greater independence. The SRC program is based upon the core belief that every student can learn and succeed.
The Learning Center, Math Lab, and Writing Lab comprise the Student Resource Center. In the Learning Center a full-time learning specialist works with students in small groups to help them achieve mastery in verbal subject areas. Additionally, a world language resource teacher is available three evenings per week to assist students studying French or Spanish. Math resource teachers are available during the daytime and three evenings per week to assist students in the Math Lab. English faculty members supervise an evening Writing Lab program wherein students can receive help on papers. Students may access any of these resources on an as-needed basis.
Peer tutors are available through the Learning Center in an array of academic courses
The Student Resource Center personnel bolster the confidence, skills, and performance of Rabun Gap students. The services they provide are invaluable in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.
