The Lady Eagles traveled to Charlotte on Saturday for a showdown with the #3 ranked Lady Knights of Charlotte Christian. It was truly one of the most exciting games for Rabun Gap this year. The Lady Eagles started strong and led 15-11 after the first quarter. Turnovers hurt Rabun Gap in the second quarter as the Lady Knights took a 25-24 lead into the locker room. The third quarter proved just as exciting. Charlotte Christian increased its lead to 41-37 heading into the final period. The Lady Eagles actually tied it at 43 and then trailed 46-45 with just over 3 minutes to go. However, two huge baskets pushed the lead to 50-45 with just under two minutes left in the game. Charlotte Christian went 6 for 8 from the line down the stretch to seal the 56-48 victory. Erica Williams finished with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.
