Rabun Gap's girls and boys middle school basketball teams captured Tri State Championships this past weekend at Highlands School.
A group of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School students visited a local elementary school last week in an ongoing initiative to bring multicultural awareness to local schools. Students representing nine countries spent the afternoon sharing information about their cultures with kindergarten, first, and second graders in the Rabun Gap Community School's after-school program. Countries represented include: China, Hungary, Germany, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Head of School Dr. Anthony Sgro announced that the School plans to bring wrestling back to the Rabun Gap campus next year. The program will join the School's current 28-team athletic program. Matt Schneider will head up the establishment of a varsity wrestling team and begin competing during the 2012-2013 school year.
